The best for programming in SDK.
Application is simple, but need https and mqtts.
Iβm not far, only from Poland 
In past I tried do this application on MT7866 module (I have Onion2, I have yours but not tried later).
It give to less control, specially on ethernet connection.
ESP32 is more future, Iβd like to develop software for next applications later
