Hello,
What do I have to do to make linux boot on the 618?
The provided android image boots, (during the first part of the boot animation it displays H616, I suspect its just that this animation was copied over tho) but I cant get any of the orangepi images or tina to work.
Hello again, I recently noticed that the Orange Pi Zero 3 uses an H618 processor. Do you have an idea if/when a linux build for this board will be available?
Greetings @admin, @Frontesque, @EZPi and @UnlimitedKaos. You seem to indicate H618, but both the latest working OrangePi bookwork image and the fully updated MangoPi image report back H616 on boot:
U-Boot SPL 2021.10-orangepi (Apr 15 2023 - 14:55:25 +0800)
pmic id is 0x4b
DRAM: 1024 MiB
Trying to boot from MMC1

NOTICE: BL31: Built : 04:47:26, Oct 3 2022 NOTICE: BL31: Detected Allwinner H616 SoC (1823)
Having said this, the OrangePi image does not recognize the MangoPi memory configuration, nor does the latest build of ARMbian. Does anybody know what is going on? Are there any guidelines or available sources for the changes to u-boot to allow this to work? Was anything ever checked in with the u-boot folks?

Of course it doesn’t help that both are reporting OrangePi …
I’d like to clarify that I have nothing to do with the orangepi or mangopi projects. I am just a user who decided to create an image. I’m not sure why I was tagged on the H618 thread as i have the H616 in my MangoPi Quad.
